That's how feminism looks like. Hurricane Harvey and gun violence fighters who fought Dana Loesch and her family out of her family house simply for her believing in woman's right not to be raped or killed in her own house.


I wonder why people call NRA a gun rights group. Guns have no rights, guns are mechanical devices. NRA stands for Second Amendment which is the human right. So, gun ownership to protect my own life or to lyve free of any sort of tyranny is my human rught, my gun does not care about my life as much as I do.
I think, it is about time to set it straight.

Well, maybe they are sorta like, ok, there are gay rights, so why not gun rights.

Gays are humans last time I checked. What I do not like is the attempt to discount the essence of Second Amendment, to associate it with something less important then human life in order to bring "gun control saves lives " argument.

So, it is time to set it straight, it is, indeed, about human life, now it is time to show us how disarmament saves a woman from rape and murder, the elderly from an abuse and murder, anyone from burglary and murder and so on.

So are the people who happen to love guns. English has a tendency to abbreviate things. Gunowners' rights -> gun rights. But yeah, they are human rights.

More specifically, they are a safeguard around 1A and other human rights – to address the hypothetical case of the government deciding, in its infinite wisdom, to follow the example of mr. Yanukovich or sr. Maduro in organizing bunches of titushki for harassing we the people into submission and forfeiture of some of the currently extant rights.

In a similar manner, animal rights are human rights. The right(s) of humans to not have their morals, delicate psyche and children's mental health violated by other humans through animal cruelty.

As I went thru two Ob ama terms I grew a bit vigilant. I saw "global warming"'s evolution to the "climate change cause", black lives matter became BLM, e pluribus unum became fight with white privilege. Given all that I have reasonable basis to believe that soon we may find out that NRA is fighting for gun's right rather then for people's right to own the gun. After all so called "school choice" is now presented to us as an attempt to bring religion to schools, no one remembers vouchers anymore.

Isn't it more about disclosure then aboutthe rights of children who may witness any kind (not just the animal) cruelty?

Should we be overprotective and create safe spaces all over given that we do have significant number of people living among us who are capable and willing to carry out something we do not wish our kids were able to look at?

I am strongly opposed to the notion of "animal rights" as seen by PETA or the crazy eastern-european style ladies who eagerly defend the "right" of pariah dogs to bite people. I would likely support some sort of outlawing of animal abuse, though. Toevah. Esp. with the "right-believing" people animal abuse; yeah, I know their book tells them it is ok to sodomize animals, provided they are halal and female.

Yup, right on target the issue. The abuse itself is already illegal, so as murder, rape or burglary. Why some criminal behaviour shall be singled out simply because it was carried out a particular way?
Why we shall single out murder where knife was used from the one carried by the gun?
To me it seems like it may shift our attention from the action (the murder) to the tools that were used to carry it (knives or guns). Given, we agree to go down that way, it is easy to arrive to the point were "guns kill people" argument is no longer sound is total BS. Do you think such overclassification a slippery slope?
